A REVAMPED, INDEPENDENT, MORE ADAPTABLE RECHARGE COLORADO

Recharge Colorado has been launched as an independent, nonprofit organization to serve as a self-sustaining resource efficiency asset for regional and national stakeholders. As a nonprofit, Recharge Colorado will continue to promote the advancement of a robust, effective marketplace for energy efficiency, water efficiency, and renewable energy projects in Colorado to the benefit of both consumers and businesses through initial services to include:

(1) A customer platform to find resource efficiency and renewable energy incentives, contractors and information with enhanced custom branding and website integration capabilities for partners,

(2) Streamlined rebate administration with greater ability to adapt to partner needs, and

(3) Data analysis for designing, targeting, and evaluating resource efficiency programs and policies.

Recharge Colorado’s development has been guided by a multi-stakeholder advisory committee comprised of representatives from the Governor’s Energy Office (GEO), the Public Utilities Commission (PUC), municipal utilities, nonprofits, energy service companies, consumer advocates, and the Treasurer’s office. The Board of Directors will include representatives from utilities (municipal, rural electric, wholesale, and/or regulated), the PUC, contractors, financial institutions, consumers and the community, the GEO, and other resource efficiency stakeholders. The Board will oversee Recharge Colorado as it provides services to consumers, businesses, utilities, government entities, and financers in return for fees to generate revenue.

Recharge Colorado is actively seeking partners to serve on its Executive Council and Advisory Council and to provide guidance regarding the strategic development of the organization
